Book Review: The Lunatic's Curse
Review: #36
Title: The Lunatic's Curse
Series: Tales from The Sinister City - 4th book
Author: F.E. Higgins
Read Before: no
My Comments: A very intriguing book, that’s suspenseful and mysterious, and much, much better than the first two books in the series (haven’t read the third one yet so I can't comment on that). It kept me hooked on and trying to figure out what was happening and fitting the bits and pieces together. It actually fitted out quite well at the end revealing much of what it was hiding, too bad that it doesn't have a happy ending, and that was the sad and unexpected part, coz throughout the book it was building up that relationship between the two main male and female characters that you thought they would be together in the end or something… and another thing about this book is that it doesn't really link all that much to the other books, something I found in this series to be somewhat lacking, it’s more like a collection of stories that based around this city of Urbs Umida, but only have vague connections that you find out in the end (so the books don't really seem like sequels to each other), I mean, you can read this standalone and it still won’t make much difference, you’ll understand it just as well. Nevertheless, I cannot deny that this is indeed, a very good book.
