My Comments: This book started off weirdly, like it didnt really conform to what I was expecting, not that this is a bad thing, just surprising. I felt it went into an area where it didnt really work, but it picked up. Although I am not a fan of most of the characters in the book, I think it is still an enjoyable read (if you like really kiddy books I guess). The Princess was an annoying character, but that's typical, and equally annoying is the main character, Boo's reaction to her, I really dont like that type of thing (like the Princess is all pretty but bad attitude). I liked the one reference it made to the Phaerie Named Phredde series, also written by the author, that was a nice touch.

My Comments: another really good book, when I had first read this and a couple of times afterwards (cant remember exactly how many times I have read this, probably twice), I didnt understand the final parts Like the guardian and everything, but now I do. It is quite cool and the whole series is shaping up to be pretty good, I intially thought Deltora Quest isnt that good (Deltora Quest 3 is really awesome though). Really too bad the books are so short, I think there must have been a set limit since there are the same number of pages as the first book. I really like this world that the author has created, there are many interesting creations. I do not think this is better or worse than the first book, it has gotten me interested enough to finish it in one day.

My Notes: Quite a nice book, the story is quite attractive and very interesting, even though it's a short book, the fact that it is a series of eight books provides some interesting stuff, and allows each book to go along quite nicely. A compromise that the first book had to take was that it takes up a little bit more than the first half of the book to explain the background and set the setting. It does leave more to be desired especially with the main character's adventure.

My Comments: This is a very excellent manga (the only manga that I really read and look out for when I go to the library), it is extremely funny and I really really like this. Just rereading this has gotten me into the series again, making me wanna read all the other ones and also watch the anime. I love this story and there is just so much funniness (although mature audiences recommended...), loved the beginning at how Keroro was found out, and also how Natsumi treats him, I find these are the moments where the books are most funny. A bit of dragging in some bits but very very small part. Generally, this book is really awesome.

My Comments: I was hesitant at first to read this book, as I was worried it might bore me, but it is actually quite intriguing. From the start it was interesting, and it just kept getting better and better. I quite like the puzzles and codes, and even the whole religious theme, I wanted to go and finish this so I can see the final answer. Usually I dont like these suspense type books as the final revelation doesnt live up to the hype it builds, but the ending was good. When I found out the identities of some of the hidden characters, my first thought was wtf, that doesnt make sense. Funnily enough, I never got bored with any part of this book, but even though, I didnt feel that pull of me wanting to keep reading the book and not putting it down.

My Comments: very good book, better than Inkheart and Inkspell (the two previous books), this captures you in very deeply, although honestly, I dont know what was so captivating, but it's just that I couldnt help but get sucked in and wanting to keep on reading, to see what happens next. Probably why this book was so much better than Inkheart is that it is more fantasy, and less trying to fit into the real world, as it is, it's a lot more interesting and fun to read. The whole plot was climaxing towards the end (and at times I would wonder how the author would had dragged out the end, coz you felt that this would be one of the last events, where the end would finally happen but you still had like one third of the book to go), but it wasn't that satisfactory, not that it was bad, but I had just hoped everyone got what they deserved. Some bits do feel a bit too contrived, particulary in the early beginning, as it is though, a great book (and decent sized, leaving you room for a nice and complex plot that's fun to read), but not a great end to the trilogy (maybe there's a fourth book? Since one of the villains didnt have his fate told directly).
