Comments: A more engrossing book than imagined, this companion novel to the All the Wrong Questions series contains 13 "incidents" or mysteries that Lemony Snicket encounters in Stain'd-by-the-Sea. Each story is a short encounter with characters who approach Lemony to solve what is usually a minor mystery. Then using just the facts from that encounter, he solves the mystery. The answer is situated at the back of the book and if the reader is switched on enough, they can figure out the answer themselves. The first few cases were easier in this aspect but it starts to get very nitpicking in the key information presented in the later cases. Either way, it is well written and engaging.
