TANK MODE (MEGATRON):
As a redeco of Siege Megatron, he transforms into a Cybertronian tank. Despite being a "H-tank", it actually looks pretty decent, largely in part to the darker color scheme.
It can feel like a lazy alternate mode since you can see the legs exposed at the back, to the point where you feel this is a robot laid down. Thankfully, you'll realize that this is not the case once you start transforming him.
As a Voyager figure, Megatron is one of the bigger ones in the size class. Above is a comparison against Titans Return Optimus.
There is an extensive silver paint wash applied, although it's not as obvious in this mode. Due to transformation, the turret cannot rotate.
This is a better tank mode in hand than pictures would lead you to assume.
LIONIZER:
We'll diverge a bit and focus on the Battlemasters first. Lionizer is a redeco of the Siege mode and transforms into a robotic lion.
The blade on top is his most defining feature.
This is a fairly well formed lion mode and all four legs are on balljoints, but poseability is still fairly limited.
He is approximately the size of a Legion figure.
The gimmick of a Battlemaster is that they transform into weapons for larger figures to use, in Lionizer's case, he transforms into a sword. It's quite easy to do as you just fold all the limbs up and then flip the blade down.
Furthermore, he comes with an effects part and this creates a slashing effect when plugged to the back of the blade.
This is a better mold that one would expect, especially at this small size.
PINPOINTER:
The other Battlemaster included in the set is Pinpointer, and again, this is a reuse of the Siege mold.
Pinpointer has a humanoid robot mode and it's a pretty good one at that, although can feel a tad bit generic as we've seen many Targetmasters in this form factor before.
He's a bit shorter than a typical Legion figure.
Pinpointer has balljoints for his shoulders and legs. Since he doesn't have elbows or knees, there's only so much you can do.
To get Pinpointer into weapon mode you flip up the cannon from his back, fold up the legs and then lock in the arms.
The effects part that Pinpointer comes with are blaster parts that attach to the tip of the barrels.
The two Battlemasters are a nice addition to the set, on the caveat that you manage to get it for less than what a Voyager and two Battlemasters would normally cost you if you bought it separately.
TRANSFORMATION (MEGATRON):
Megatron transforms much as you would expect with one exception, his legs. They will probably trip you up on your first transformation as it use a weird but ingenious way to fold up the thighs for tank mode. Unfolding it is much easier. The other cool thing is that the cannon detaches along with two long pieces of plastic that folds to form his gigantic sword. Otherwise, the turret is where the arms are stored, the rear tread his legs, and the front treads form a backpack. Annoyingly, the front treads gets in the way of the front panel.
ROBOT MODE:
Megatron's robot mode is where he is absolutely stunning. Whereas the other Netflix figures emulated battle damage with some weird ugly paint, Megatron uses metallic silver in a very nice way.
At first glance, you might mistake the whole figure was slathered in silver paint but he is actually cast in dark plastic with liberate amounts of silver paint to create this illusion and it works so well in person. It also help that it isn't done in random splotches.
The headsculpt is great, it's sculpted in typical Megatron fashion with nice red eyes.
In terms of size, Megatron is around the same height as an average Voyager but he is bulky to boot. Granted, he feels lighter than expected but he has the looks.
Poseability is great since the Siege line focuses on articulation. He has joints for his head, shoulders, elbows, waist, hips, knees and ankles.
His main weapon is the fusion cannon on his right arm. Despite appearances, it can actually detach since it uses a 5mm peg. Although you don't have to remove it for transformation at all.
The other weapon is the sword formed from the turret, and this is a wicked looking sword.
He can hold the sword in either hand but naturally his left hand doesn't have a cannon in the way. Despite the huge size, tanks to Megatron's bulkiness, it's not unwieldy at all.
The only negative with the weapon is that it uses unpainted grey plastic. If only the silver paint was used on this instead of being wasted on the black cannon pieces (which would have looked fine being completely black).
Another option is that you can peg the sword onto his fusion cannon but this is very unwieldy.
Furthermore, if you don't want either of the weapons, they can store onto his back.
Of course, you have two Battlemasters in the pack, which Megatron can definitely use. However, Lionizer's sword mode can be a tad bit short and stubby, especially compared to his own sword.
That being said, Lionizer's effect part is awesome, by pegging it to the back of the blade, it forms a slashing effect and looks great.
Pinpointer on the other hand is a double barreled blaster.
The two effect parts can peg onto the end of the barrel to capture the moment of the gun firing.
Megatron can use all four weapons at the same time, since he can hold Lionizer and Pinpointer in both hands, and then you can peg the giant sword onto his forearm. Needless to say, you have tons of options and this is a great figure.
OVERALL:
Megatron, Pinpointer and Lionizer is a great set. This is one of the best redecos of the Netflix line and the silver adds a premium feel to Megatron. The inclusion of two Battlemasters is pretty cool, so this is a set well worth picking up, especially if you missed the Siege or Earthrise version of the mold.
