BIKE MODE:
Finally, after numerous toys in other size classes Fracture gets his own Warrior class figure. He transforms into a purple motorbike with red highlights.
This is a great bike mode and there is literally no kibble, which is very impressive. He has two wheels which you can roll on any surface.
His weapon folds up in half and plugs onto the left side to act as an exhaust pipe.
In terms of size, Warrior size class is already smaller than Deluxes, but being a bike, Fracture feels even smaller and lighter.
If you take the exhaust off, the bike can still stand thanks to a kickstand on the left side.
A good bike mode that is impressive from the fact that there is no obvious robot kibble
TRANSFORMATION:
As you'd expect, getting Fracture from vehicle to robot is quite simple. The transformation is clever, however, thanks to how the torso is formed: you fold up the front wheel and then flip the whole thing over which reveals his head and chest. This is a solid transformation scheme and makes going between the modes fun.
ROBOT MODE:
So how is robot mode? Usually motorcycle transforms sacrifice one mode for the other but Fracture doesn't do this, his robot mode looks great!
He doesn't carry much kibble, the major piece being the front wheel behind his back although it sits close enough to the body that it does not affect his balance or looks.
The headsculpt is average, it feels too small and lacking detail, however it is accurate to the show. It is on a swivel joint so he can look from side to side.
Size-wise, he is about the height of a Deluxe but lacks the mass. In the figure, wherever possible, the designers have made it hollow, lending to the light feel in your hand.
He features the Decepticon insignia on his chest which can also be scanned to unlock the character temporarily in the app. He is primarily purple with some splashes of silver and red. This works really well.
He is fairly poseable but lacks a waist joint.
His weapon is a really long rifle, similar to the one he used in the show. Oddly, it has a few pegs for Fracture to hold onto.
Fracture can hold the weapon like a normal gun but thanks to its length, it can be unwieldy.
Alternatively, you can plug it onto the outside of his left forearm (using the same peghole as bike mode) which also looks quite decent.
Then you have the option of Fracture hold it like a club but it doesn't really look like a club.
There is a handle and Fracture has just enough range in his articulation to hold hold the weapon with both hands. He is supposed to point the barrel at the enemy but it is very difficult to achieve.
Lastly, you can place the weapon on his back like the way he stores it in the series.
A solid robot mode that isn't too lanky. The number of ways to use his weapon adds to the play value.
OVERALL:
Fracture is a very nice toy and by far the best incarnation of the character in toy form. He has two good modes and the fact that there are no compromises made in either mode just because he turns into a bike is a feat unto itself. Fracture is highly recommended and represents one of the best toys in the RiD 2015 toyline.
