Title: Hotel Valhalla to the Norse Worlds
Series: Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard - companion book
Author: Rick Riordan
Read Before: no
Comments: Hotel Valhalla doesn’t break any conceptions that companions are lazy, but there has been a bit of effort put into it. However, a lot of the book feels like unnecessary padding, from the large spacing between sentences to the huge swatches of empty spaces on each page. Hotel Valhalla takes on the guise as a guidebook for Magnus Chase when he died and was selected to become an einherjar. It quickly covers the most notable of Norse gods and beasts, with some snippets after each one. The character facts sheets are pointless but the snippets which ranges from short stories, to other random tidbits are the more worthwhile pieces, although more than a few were lazy attempts. Overall, Hotel Valhalla is one of the better companion books but still feels like a hodgepodge of content mashed together.
