Toy Review: Transformers BotBots Flood Jug (Series 5)

Review:
  #653
Name:  Flood Jug
Brand:  Transformers
Allegiance:  N/A
Line:  BotBots
Year of Release:  2020
Size Class:  BotBot (Series 5)
Mold Status:  new

ALTERNATE MODE:

Flood Jug transforms into a blue water container, and is part of the Wilderness Troops group of BotBots.

It's a big water container and there's really nothing too much with it.  The back was gappy and you can see the robot face peeking out.

As a BotBot, Flood Jug is small, above is a comparison against the Legion Barricade.

It's a simple alternate mode but at least it is immediately obvious what it is supposed to be.

TRANSFORMATION:

Split the container in half to reveal the body, and then turn the head around.

ROBOT MODE:

Flood Jug's robot mode is unconventional, and reminds you of a gorilla due to the large arms.

Flood Jug is effectively a shellformer, and since the arms are the shells, his body is tiny.  Surprisingly, it actually works.

Most of the head details are painted on.  Due to transformation, the head can look from side to side.

Above is a comparison against Legion Crosshairs to show his height.

The arms are on balljoints and can swing, but given that they are used to stand him up, there's only so much you can do.

OVERALL:

Flood Jug is an unique figure.  The alternate mode is okay, but the robot mode is definitely different and works fairly well.
