Comments: The volume starts off with another normal day in which the girls are trying to get Shinji’s attention and some time to spend with him. However, more serious things happen soon afterwards and the headquarters is under attack. Thus the trio enters virtual reality again to fight off the threat. Then again, it’s really just an exaggerated and slight handwave since you know that there will be no problems in the end. Actually, it feels like they didn’t even bother putting much effort into it since it is all so wishy washy. The slice-of-life type events and humor was already the focus though and there are some funny scenes as a result. In particular, the extra/bonus chapters at the end were some of the better ones in terms of humor. It’s hard to decide which paring you should cheer though, Asuka or Rei?
