Toy Review: Transformers BotBots Razzle Tazzeled (Series 5)

Review:
#643
Name:  Razzle Tazzeled
Brand:  Transformers
Allegiance:  Decepticon
Line:  BotBots
Year of Release:  2020
Size Class:  BotBot (Series 5)
Mold Status:  new

ALTERNATE MODE:

Razzle Tazzeled ("Razzle") transforms into a pinata, which is yet another unlikely and unexpected alternate mode.

It is predominantly grey with some black patterns on its legs.  The sculpture of the texting is excellent and makes it instantly recognizable for what it is.

As a BotBot, Razzle is very small, above is a comparison against a Legion toy.

A great alternate mode with no noticeable flaws.

TRANSFORMATION:

Razzle has an easy to imagine transformation and yet it still works wonderfully well.  It's a lot of fun, maybe because it's a bit more involved than your average BotBot.  Fold the back legs down to form the robot legs, spread the front legs to the sides for the arms and then fold the front down to the torso.  Finally, lift up the pinata head to reveal the robot head.

ROBOT MODE:

Razzle's robot mode is humanoid, which is a rarity for a BotBot.  Once again, he is predominantly grey with some black patterns painted on.

The only major kibble is the pinata head behind the actual head, otherwise, this is a very clean robot.

The headsculpt is basically a block with eyes and funnily enough, eyebrows, painted on.  One of the best things about the head is that it can swivel from side to side.

In terms of size, while Razzle is one of the taller BotBots, he is still much shorter than a Legion figure.

Articulation is excellent.  Apart from the swiveling head, Razzle also sports balljointed arms (although mainly for swiveling front and back), legs that can swing forward and a waist swivel.  This is a great robot mode.

OVERALL:

Razzle-Tazzled is a great figure and once again situated on a high point in the BotBots line.  The pinata is great, and the robot mode leverages off the alternate mode and a simple but effective transformation to give us something flexible.
