COMPONENTS:

Mandroid is a Build-A-Figure, that is, he wasn't sold separately but rather pieces of him was included as part of the initial four waves of Earthspark Deluxes.  That is, he came with:

• Bumblebee - right arm
• Megatron - left arm
• Twitch - head and backpack
• Optimus Prime - left leg
• Shockwave - left arm (Cybertronian)
• Grimlock - right leg
• Nightshade - torso
• Starscream - left arm (Cybertronian)

Yes, it is a confusing mess.  Shockwave and Starscream contains the same piece, but they are also the only two repaints so you can safely skip them given you still get a left arm from Megatron.  Apart from those two, all the other figures are either new molds or significant retools.

MANDROID:

Mandroid is really easy to assemble, given most of it are via balljoints.  The toughest part was just getting the torso pieces together.

And Mandroid himself is... a human with a big Cybertronian arm (or two if you opted for that).  He does look a little bit bulky on the upper section...

Size-wise, he's taller than a Core but smaller than a Deluxe.  Given that a piece of him comes from each separate release which are as small as Deluxes usually are, you can kind of think of Mandroid as a bonus.

The head sculpt is fine, nothing to write home about, however, you have to admit that the figure is surprisingly well painted.

Articulation is limited, he has joints for his head, shoulders and hips.  The ankles have some rotation but don't count on it.

His feet is a tad bit too small to be honest.  He also has two robotic arms that you can move around.

He feels a bit rubbery due to the materials used, but again, as a bonus, he is okay.

OVERALL:

Is he is a nice bonus figure?  Yes.  Should you go out and get all the Deluxes just for him?  No.  He is simply that, a nice bonus if you were already interested in the Earthspark Deluxes.
