The Animal is a comedy film starring Rob Schneider in which he plays the part of a wannabe policeman but keeps failing the test. He is shown to be pathetic and often bullied by other actual policeman (as he works a desk job at the police station). However, when he gets into an accident, in order to save his life, he has animal parts inserted into him and as a result of that, he has gained abilities that transcend human. He is now able to run fast, swim fantastically and have an amazing sense of smell. Soon after this event though, the film loses all momentum and it starts to become a long drag. The humor works most of the time but it often relies on cruder jokes. In the end, it even gives up on its plot leaving a disappointing ending.
