Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken! (2017)

Super Size Me 2:  Holy Chicken! is a sequel film to the one from 13 years ago (at the release of this film) where Morgan Spurlock exclusively ate at McDonald's.  Instead of repeating what he did then (and frankly, that would be fairly boring and repetitive), he explores and talks about the rebranding that fast food chains has done in order to present themselves as more healthy, without actually being so.  His approach is to actually open up his own fast-food restaurant and exploring what goes on in the background in the process.  As a result, he grows his own chickens, and this is quite an eye-opener in terms of what happens.  From how fast the chicken grows, to the sad reality that there is always a cost.  He engages in several firms to find a way to make his unhealthy product feel a lot healthier with the use of colors and specific words.  He exposes the flaws in the the law in terms of how companies can choose words that might have a specific legal meaning, but leaves the general populace to have their own incorrect interpretations.  While it has a specific view and will only present footage that reinforces that view, the documentary film is engaging and eye-opening.
