Tooth Fairy is a comedy film starring Dwayne Johnson in the titular role of Derek, a professional ice hockey player. He has become disillusioned and feeling the threat of new players taking over from him. It all started with the daughter of his girlfriend lost a tooth and he almost reveals the truth that the tooth fairy doesn't exist. Contrary to what he believes, they do exist and due to his actions, he ahs has been summoned and regulated to performing tooth fairy duties as punishment. He gains wings, a new costume, and a bunch of gadgets to help him. So you would think with the title of the film and the way that the first third of the film focuses so much on it that the tooth fairy aspect would take center stage. That is not the case, and it turns into a very generic family film in which it shows the viewers that you should dare to dream, and if you believe, you will achieve. It was never amazing to begin with, but the slowdown in the pacing makes it bland and uninteresting that not even Dwayne Johnson to help spice it back up. The plot is too predictable and the jokes / gags doesn't tread any new ground, which leads to Tooth Fairy being average overall.
