To Love-Ru Vol. 6

VOL. 6 – ONCE MORE, FROM HERE
Trouble 44 – Wanderful Life 2

Continuing and concluding on the story from last chapter, it’s much better and more enjoyable. The reactions from Rito is great, and never noticed this side of Maron (Haruna’s dog), who had looked cute but is actually quite vicious when he wants to be. Ending is typical where a gag is used in which Rito is running away from people angry at him.

Trouble 45 – Yami’s Clinic

Any chapter that focuses on Yami is interesting and this chapter is no exception, we get to learn that Yami does indeed have a weakness. It is quite unfortunate for Rito that everyone (whether intentionally or unintentionally) plays tricks on him. I tend to see a trend here going that with every single girl Rito is friends with, he always ends up showing his compassion by carrying them to the clinic or something whenever they feel sick.

Trouble 46 – Shocking Birthday

People in the world of To Love-Ru just seem to accept aliens so easily… seems like the person with the most trouble would be Rito himself! Lala reveals that she is an alien (accidentally but blurting it out loud) and all her friends are just like… “Oh yeah! That explains everything!” and “I always knew it!”, so I find that a bt hard to believe.

Trouble 47 – Wild Youngster

This kid, that has a look similar to a devil comes to Rito’s school and is quite perverted… like they say, can't judge a book by it’s cover, in this case, the cover is so much better than the contents… Anyway, a shocking revelation at the end (apart from the kid being super powerful and speed), Lala calls him… “Papa”?!

Trouble 48 – Decision

Lala’s father, Gid, announces that Rito should marry Lala and become king (so he can be free to do whatever he wants). Well, this chapter is another one of my favourites, and it shows that Lala is at least not as shallow as she had been, she thought about her relationship with Rito though and did make some observations.

It was quite sweet when she got out her invention of wiping everyone’s memories and try to make Rito fall in love with her, and she activates it. Thankfully, it didn't work and the next day Rito and Haruna still remembers, but I thought that the frame where Lala was willing to try again, just for Rito, shows that she does indeed love Rito, so I thought that was quite good.

Trouble 49 – Once More, From Here

A funny chapter, especially the ending, when Lala said she fixed the invention’s flaw, I bet we all thought it was the whole naked thing, but nup! That was great, and at the end, we get a sneak peek at the next addition to the cast, Kotegawa. It does seem though that everyone had forgotten (or most likely ignored) what happened in the last two chapters, so it seems so episodic, and that each chapter doesn't really affect the subsequent ones.

Trouble 50 – History’s Worst Class

Kotegawa in her debut chapter, not too interesting, I don't really like her, as the stories concerning her are quite boring. An average chapter, I wouldn't read it more than once.

Trouble 51 – Luring Manifest

Following on from the previous chapter; once again, an average chapter with not much is happening in the story. Some the dialogue is good, like how Rito suspects Lala’s inventions and that they always do what they are not supposed to. It’s a better chapter than the one before.

Trouble 52 – The Strongest Womanizer

A great chapter and very entertaining. A classmate of Rito’s see how great he is with the ladies and asks for his help, comical actually. I wished that they did another chapter similar to this one, but where Rito has all the cast in it, so it’ll be even more awesome and funny (as currently, he only has four). One of the better chapters in the whole series, it is well worth reading.

Overall

A volume in which quite a lot of things happen; and most of the chapters are really good, so this is another volume that I recommend reading. The story may have been starting to fade away by this time but what is left is advanced in these couple of chapters.
